Lighting
Hold candle at angle and light bottom corner of wick. Hold at this angle until flame is about 1/3 across the wick (takes about 5 seconds). DO NOT BURN FOR MORE THAN 3 HOURS AT A TIME. Wait at least an hour between burns for the wax to solidify before trimming or re-lighting.
Trimming
Make sure candle wax is solid before trimming. Trim after each use or when wick is taller than 1/8", candle extinguishes on its own, or if you notice excess smoke or charring while the candle is lit. Trim wick within 1 to 2 hours after first light or when candle extinguishes. If too much of the burnt wick remains untrimmed, the candle may self-extinguish. This is normal and just means you need to do a quick trim. It is important to trim as close to the bottom of the wick as possible and try to collect all of the char in the provided Be|Lumos silicone "chomper" tool provided to prevent excess charring.
Extinguishing
Blow gently on candle. Do not use the lid to extinguish!
General Safety
- Burn candle within sight.
- Keep candle away from drafts, vibrations, children, and pets.
- Never burn candle near anything flammable.
- Only burn candle on a flat surface.
